How many times have you said, “I need a vacation from my vacation?” Recently Chuck and I traveled to Orlando, Florida to have the Disney World/Universal Studios experience. I definitely came back feeling like I needed another vacation! Our four days away from reality consisted of nonstop running around after a busy work week and not much sleep!
Our world is buzzing with information. Information from the internet, from the news, social media, podcasts, the radio. Some of it’s helpful and some of it’s not. But I promise you, the buzz that you get when you are enveloped in the outside world will always teach you something positive and useful. Mother Nature is trying to teach us every single day! All we need to do is look around and pay close attention.
May is in full swing and summer is on its way! Growing up, the idea of “getting away” did not involve visiting a small town. My first thought had always been to hop on a plane and travel to a place as far away as possible, thinking that distance would make me feel like I was truly on vacation. While I still love traveling and exploring the world, I have also discovered the joy of “escaping” into my own backyard and discovering charming small towns to explore!
